Carboxytherapy: injection or mask?

Carboxytherapy is highly effective when the CO2 gas is injected. These injections are very superficial and the gas spreads under the skin, reaching exactly where it provides the most stimulation. An injection of CO2 gas should only be done under the supervision of a doctor. In beauty salons, carboxytherapy should not be performed with an injection. Instead of injections, the beautician uses a CO2 mask. Here, the CO2 gas has been brought to the skin and released over the skin. The treatment with a CO2 mask is a pleasant treatment to give the skin a slight tingling, but it does not provide a structural improvement to the skin.
