Do you have facial wrinkles or loss of volume? Then you can restore facial volume with various remedies and treatments such as lipofilling and your own fat. On the one hand, there are temporary fillers, such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydrocylapatite and polylactic acid. On the other hand, there are treatments that involve filling up with your own fat. However, you can see that this last facial filling treatment with your own fat, also known as facial lipofilling, is being carried out less and less.
Lipofilling involves inserting fat tissue under the skin into the face to “fill in” the contours of the skin, or fill wrinkles with your own fat. Officially, this treatment is also known as “autologous fat transplantation”. The fat tissue used in lipofilling is removed from your own body where the fat is less desirable and then injected elsewhere in the body.
However, the disadvantages of a so-called lipofilling treatment are greater than the disadvantages of, for example, a treatment with hyaluronic acid. Especially with, for example, fill puffiness with your own fat. For example, you should recover from a lipofilling treatment for at least a week. With the advent of new treatments, such a long recovery time is no longer necessary. Another disadvantage of a lipofilling treatment is that it is permanent and therefore irreversible. This may sound like a positive thing, but once the result is not satisfactory, nothing can be done about it. Over time, the fat hardens a bit, which can cause a ledge to form at the treated area. Of course, this is not a pretty sight. It is not without reason that Clinic Doctor Frodo fits fillers with hyaluronic toe.
