Puffiness

I see, I see what you don't see. how do I cover my tired eyes?

What do others see when they look at you? A well-rested, balanced person, or someone who is tired and stressed? It is often the eyes that influence the opinions of others about this. Dark circles and puffiness around the eyes quickly give a tired, old look. The best remedy to restore eye freshness and appear more rested is to sleep more, live a healthy life, moderate alcohol intake, and drink plenty of water, but this is easier said than done. We all have a busy social life on top of a busy job these days, and this sometimes comes easy. The annoying thing is that for a lot of people, the puffiness actually gets worse the more they sleep and live a healthy life... I've listed a few tricks to create a healthier and more rested look. In the morning, we often have puffy eyes. If you coffee or tea drink, keep doing this. This may not be the advice you'd expect, but caffeinated drinks not only help you wake up, but also your eyes. Caffeine accelerates blood circulation and thus helps to remove accumulated moisture around the eyes. Cold is also a good method to combat swelling around the eyes. From now on, keep your eye creams and gels in the fridge. Apply them gently to the skin on your eye sockets with a tapping motion. Using a good concealer/ highlighter around the eyes gives a healthy, rested impression. Go for a light cream or liquid formula instead of a thicker formula. A light concealer is better for the delicate skin around the eye area and provides the most natural effect. Choose a color that is close to your own skin color and has a slight peach or yellow undertone. These shades help to disguise purple, blue and red tones of puffiness and circles. Place a small dot of concealer on the skin near the inner corners of your eyes. Then add one or two dots under the eyes to prevent any discoloration. Blend the concealer lightly with your ring finger. Make sure the concealer doesn't also get on your cheeks. The makeup must blend completely into the skin. To top it off, you can finally apply a little bit of concealer to your eyelids. With curled long lashes, a thin layer of mascara and a highlight cream, your eyes will look rested and refreshed again. This will have an amazing effect on how you are generally perceived. After all, the eyes are the mirrors of the soul. In a previous article you can find more information about a great method to make your lashes grow longer and fuller. If these methods above do not work, we can further help you in our clinic with skin tightening around the eyes or supplementing volume with hyaluronic acid.
