Cause of puffiness and dark circles

Ostensibly, puffiness is caused by excess skin, but they are actually caused by loss of volume. Dark circles usually occur because the cheekbone is slightly more back, causing an oblique fatigue shadow/dark circle under the eyes. Puffies/bags under the eyes are visible because the cheekbone lies just behind the lower eyelid. This volume deficit is often present from an early age, because the cheekbone is usually somewhat flatter. That is also the reason that young children already suffer a lot from ramparts could have. Volume deficiency is exacerbated with age because the cheekbone and the fat pockets of the cheeks shrink.

Treatment of puffiness and dark circles

Puffiness and dark circles are best treated by correcting the volume deficit with a hyaluronic acid filler. In some cases, blue circles are caused by pigment formation or reduced blood flow.
