Smile your old self!

Recent research shows that you use fewer facial muscles when you smile than when you frown. So people who laugh more get less (and better ones too?) wrinkles than people who are stressed and frown a lot. More and more people want to look younger. This increase means that even fitness trainers are developing facial gymnastics classes. Facial exercises such as facial yoga help maintain facial skin elasticity, which prevents premature formation of deep lines and wrinkles. When the skin is continuously tense, it loses its elasticity and vitality, particularly around the eyes and mouth. Stressed people see much more facial skin aging than people who live quietly and relaxed. Smile is good for preventing wrinkles because it trains the muscles around the lips, mouth and cheek. Exercise:

  • A few times a day, place your thumb and forefinger on the corners of your mouth and the outer skin around the eyes, raise the fingers slightly for six seconds at a time. After a break of 10 seconds, repeat this exercise.
  • Another exercise that can help prevent wrinkles from forming on the face is pushing air into your cheeks and keeping it there for a few seconds.
  • Sticking out your tongue also helps strengthen the chin muscles and thus prevent sagging skin.

A healthy diet combined with sufficient drinking water helps maintain young-looking skin. Smiling as much as possible helps to to reduce stress, it makes you happy and at the same time improves heart health. So laughing is beneficial to health in several ways. These exercises only take a few minutes and can therefore be used by everyone!
