The baby boom generation is currently reaching retirement age. Early predictions show that this generation will single-handedly ensure that billions will be invested in cosmetic medicine in the coming years. To combat the dreaded signs of aging, they will make extensive use of anti-aging products and treatments. Recent estimates by an American research firm promise that an increase of almost 40 billion dollars was achieved in 2015. Cosmetic medicine is also becoming increasingly accepted in the Netherlands and older generations are beginning to realize that they can curb aging and feel young and youthful with just a few simple procedures. It is no longer taboo to look and feel better through cosmetic procedures. There is a huge amount of information available online presenting the benefits and safety of cosmetic treatments and more and more retirees are beginning to discover this.
