Botox

The effects of frequent cosmetic treatments (such as botox) on emotion.

Recently, the American newspaper The Washington Times wrote an interesting article about the possible effects of cosmetic medicine for politicians who have had it. In America, you have plenty of examples of very high-ranking politicians who have probably had a surgical procedure. Examples include Nancy Pelosi (until recently Speaker of the House of Representatives) and Joe Biden (Vice President). The article addresses a question that I will write about more often in the future: do plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments, such as a Botox treatment, deprive me of the ability to express and experience emotions? Various studies have shown that this may well be the case with frequent and prolonged use of Botox. This can also cause problems outside politics. We do a significant part of interpersonal communication via facial mimics. If this drops, we also lose our “voice” a little bit, as it were. Fortunately, this only applies to excessive use of Botox. At the same time, it shows why the principle of aging is so important. First of all, your lifestyle must be good, so that the use of a cosmetic treatment is only used as an addition, not as a band-aid. Cosmetic treatment should enhance natural beauty and not replace it with a plastic, unnatural look.
